Maddie's Story continues

The Rogue Speaks:

O.k, so it's Monday, and I'm late for Saturday Centus.  So sue me!!  I had a rough weekend!  I won't tell you what I did, but let me just say that it did not involve great food and alcoholic beverages. Plus, I'm sure Jenny will understand, since she probably had a pretty tough weekend herself!!  Fortunately she did give us a prompt that I could work into my story of Maddie,  so here it is!  I also found the perfect painting to accompany the story on a very fascinating blog by Mall.  Please click on the title of the painting to check her out!!! I you're just coming on board, click here to read  the beginning of Maddie's Story.   After my nap,  I'll read your offerings as well!!

Maddie's Story continues:

It was sadly quiet in the car. A lone tear escaped and ran down Marin's cheek. Even though Maddie wasn't aware of her surroundings, saying goodbye was harder than she thought. Simon looked straight ahead, his hands gripping the steering wheel a little too tightly. Finally, Marin spoke.

"Our little girl, Simon, our little girl is just so sick! She doesn't even  know us! That monster! I want to kill him for what he's done. I want to douse him with gasoline and set his clothes on fire, so he suffers, like he made our baby suffer!"

“First, they have to find him.”

That's some powerful writing. I'll have to check back when I have a little more time and read the rest of the story.

Thanks for your comments on my piece. That's sad about your cousin, but cool about her husband...there are some pretty amazing and selfless people in the world.

I promise to make some time to go back and read your story, too! What a rich picture you used! I will check out Mall's site, as well.

I love your stories. They always leave me wanting more and more...

You have such wonderful talents!

What the heck did he do to that baby???!!! I'm going to have to go back and reread this piece again. Your writing is full of mystery. I'm liking it. You know it's good when it stirs my emotions.

Where the heck have you been?!~Ames

Ames, I haven't gotten to the meat of the story yet. I'm just laying in some groundwork.

I've been mostly in bed with a Tens Unit, stimulating my back muscles with electrical current. Shocking, isn't it!!!

Oh my I too have been wondering where you were...I thought my schedule is a bit rocky at the moment....and catching up on the comments I'm beginning to think your real life is a tad more shocking then this story that has me so worried now....I know we have to take this in doses....that's cool...and I so hope all is well or it soon will be right! Hope it works for your muscles! ...cuz you MUST finish this story.....and the photo just lives for your story!

This is such a heartbreaking story, and so well written, I am actually afraid to get to the meat of it, but then that's because it is so real, almost too real.

Sorry to hear you're needing a tens unit, hope you feel better soon.

Dear Judie,
I've read your story about Maddie, but I need more time to think about what to say. I'll be back.
