Yeah, whatever!

The Rogue Speaks:

Jenny is on her way to Texas next week, so she wanted to give us a Texas prompt.  We have a limit of 100 words, plus the 5 word prompt.  Please visit Jenny's blog to read the Glen Campbell connection.  This prompt is not very inspiring for me, but here is my offering:

There's a yellow rose in Texas.  Yeah, whatever.    But Glen Campbell?  No way!  He broke up the marriage of an old acquaintance of mine from MANY years ago in Atlanta--Mac Davis.

Over the years, many roses have lost their wonderful scent.  It's hard these days to find a fragrant rose, but my favorite is Sterling Silver.

Honey Perfume is a florabunda rose that is also very fragrant!

I added the Gertrude Jekyll English rose here because not only is it fragrant, but we are heading back to Jekyll Island in June for a family vacation!!

I added the fragrant Just Joey rose for obvious reasons.

That's my Saturday Centus. Boring?  Yeah, whatever!

Beautiful roses, Judie, but you knew Mac Davis! Wow, that is a great nugget. :)

Cher, I also went to school with Ray Stevens, who was then Ray Ragsdale. He was a friend.

That last rose is my favorite. I've never seen a color just like that.

Wow. I am going to use you when we play The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. Wait...do you know Kevin Bacon?? I like the Sterling rose too. It looks Lavender, but yellow is my favorite even though they don't have much of a scent.~Ames

Ok, howthehell did you not get involved with Mac? Or...maybe you did. Hmmmm. As for Glen, a relative on my mom's side was either married to or shacked up with him, depends on who tells the story. But whatthehell, he's living proof that Karma kicks ass.... Oh, I'm snitty when I'm tired. G'nite:)

We used to all sing along to this Mac Davis song, out in our Barn, back in The Day...

"Why don't we all just get stoned?
Get drunk and sing beer drinkin' songs?
Between Breznyev and Begin,
Khomeini and Reagan,
We might as well all just get stooooooooooned!"

Yeah, it's kinda dated, but what the hey?

Oh Judie these flowers are just an inspiration, (not much blooming here in my yard right now) I don't even have a daisy in sight, and barely any tulips this year. Not enough snow? You do have an amazing list of famous people in your past don't you? ...I could linger here all evening to listen to this....lovely music....

Hey! Leave Glenn alone. He didn't do it on purpose! ha!

Those are some of my favorite roses, too. I miss my rose garden at the other house. It was always such a luxury to fill the house with huge bouquets!
