CHICKEN SPA DAY

The Rogue Speaks:

I was hoping that I could work this post into Jenny's prompt, "Please remit your payment promptly," for Saturday Centus, but anything  I got out of my chickens for their spa treatment would be mere chicken feed.

Rod pulled the chickens down from their roost in the kitchen.  I was disgusted by the amount of dust and grime they had collected over the years, so I decided they needed a spa treatment before they headed off to their new home.

Waiting to be de-grimed

All bright and shiny clean,
and waiting to go to a new home!

Baby-daddy Rooster's feathers
 are still a little damp.

3:37 p.m.:  "What are you doing, Judie?" asked Rod.  "Bathing the chickens.”  "Why????"
“Um, I, um…”   “Take a break, Judie!”

I know why I love you Judie! You remind me of myself! I get up at 4 A.M. to get a drink of water! Throw laundry in the washer, dry a few dishes left in the sink! Check locks on the doors! No wonder I need a nap and it is only close to 11 A.M.!!!! Happy trails during your move! I pray all goes well for you!

P.s. love that cluck of chicks and roosters hanging around your kitchen!

Are we, all of us, just a little compulsive? I'd have done the very same thing. Actually, I've done the same thing.

Judie: May I simply respond to Pondside? No, just you and Judie - and my wife.

If I didn't know you were the chickens weren't real, I would be worried.

It's okay. I've been washing rocks today.

Oh Judie! Bawk, bawk, bawk!

That is a chicken thank you!

I bet they feel all shiny clean and wonderful!

Rest!

Please rest!

You're not crazy you're just like everyone else here. We all have dust and grime catchers. But I would rather have a little dust and grime than spending the time worrying about the dust and grime. Take a chill pill woman! Listen to Rod! Men are good at chillin' anyway.
Love ya mean it!~Ames

I actually love moving things around, just so I can clean them and make them bright again. I hope you get the same kind of satisfaction in doing it as well. It also gives you a chance to think about where and when you collected each item.

Gail, of "Gail At The Farm," said she was washing rocks. Believe it or not, that's my next task! I am washing all my crystals, and fossils, and geodes before I wrap them up for packing.

I've been helping my duaghter move into her new home in Colorado so I know how moving can be work intensive, yet fun! I may be doing the same myself, very soon. Life is an adventure!

Such a cute chicken collection. Are you moving to farm? I have a rooster and hen collection too. If I send them to vacation at your house, can they get the spa treatment. They definitely need it. Your chickens put mine to shame with their shiny feathers. Moving always makes me look at my "treasures" with a new eye. I clean and discard. Then, when I get where I'm going, I find I've discared just what I need! Good luck. laurie

Adorable chickens! I just got the stink eye for my hubby over the very dusty collection of figurines sitting on a shelf in the family room :) so of course I immediately dusted ;)

They are all bright and cheerful. A spa day is good for them, and I am sure they are happier now :-)
