KAKISTOCRACY!

The Rogue Speaks:

Yes, it is a REAL but obscure word.  It means "governed by the worst."  Now you know that I am about to launch into one of my political rants.  It won't be a long one, though.  The packers are coming in the morning and I have to start setting aside stuff that I will be needing over the next few days, so it doesn't get accidentally packed.  I decided to put the toaster and the coffee maker in the fridge, along with all the paper plates, and plastic utensils and cups.  They'll never find them there.  Brilliant, yes, I know!

The Olympics are in full force, and so are the politicians.  Mitt Romney has already managed to piss off Great Britain, and the Palestinians on his three-country tour.  I guess the Poles got by unscathed, but probably because Mitt's handlers cut all the Polish jokes out of his speeches.  This guy is dangerous!  If by some awful disaster, like hanging chads, millions of voters were disenfranchised at the polls, and he was elected president, we would be more than likely to lose allies because of his political gaffs!  And if he managed to seriously piss off one of our enemies, American could become toast, literally!  Diplomacy!  Can you spell "diplomacy," Mitt?  No?  I didn't think so.

Let's face it.  The guy is not quick on his feet when he tries to speak extemporaneously (dog? airtight box? roof of the car?)  Couple that with his mask-like, pasted-on smile and those dead-looking eyes, and you've got someone who could give America a bad name in a big hurry.

And what about all that money he has stashed away in off-shore accounts?  Show us all your tax returns, Mitt!  You want to be president, yet you steal from your own country by hiding assets so they cannot be taxed.  There's a name for that, too--KLEPTOCRACY--and, no, I did not make that up.  It means "governed by thieves."  It's bad enough that there are so many of those in Congress, and we certainly don't need a thief in the Oval Office, now do we??

Remember the expression "Rome wasn't built in a day"?  Well, no one could possibly clean up the ungodly mess after eight years of George W. Bush in only four years.  Think about that one!  The last thing we need is another conservative republican in the White House.

That's my lesson for Miss Jenny's class on Alphabe-Thursday!  I can't decide now if I want to pack more stuff, or nap.  Pack?  Nap? Nap wins.  Bye!

p.s. We are leaving Tucson on Monday, so I won't be around for a while, but check back after August 14.  Hopefully, the van will arrive on time in Brunswick, and I'll be good to post!!!

The real scary part is the thousands upon thousands of legal voters being thrown off the voter rolls, under the guise of "cleaning out the ineligibles." It's no coincidence that they are Republican-run states that are doing all the cleaning.

With as close as this election it going to be, every vote will be important. The Republicans are counting on this modern "poll tax" do dampen the Democratic voter turnout. They know full well that they need more than 50% of the 99% to vote for them, which in most cases, will be against their own financial interest.

The games are afoot.

Honestly, i don't see how anyone with half a brain could vote for such a fool. I mean the guy has pissed off one of your historically biggest allies ... duh! Best of luck with the move!

I have not heard of the word but it's fitting the way you used it. I try to stay away from politics, but you know, there's always someone doing something stupid and in the public eye, so it's hard to avoid them.

anyway, great K word.

My dear Judie,
What a word!!! I have never heard it before but you sure have mastered it (smile). Politics is always a TOUGH subject for me. I hope to learn from you my friend.

I love your political rants. They just crack me up. :-) Hope the move goes well.

HA HA : Mitt came to our area and managed to insult a long standing prestigous and popular BAKERY by dissing the COOKIES. See it / read it to believe it. Anyway I don't vote by party line so if I thought he could do better than Obama I would vote for him but the "Cookiegate" incident ? I said at that time 'well he can't be let loose on the world if he can't even handle a local visit' and he proved me right with this visit overseas

I come from a family of conservatives and could never say half of what you did in your post. It is funny to listen to my brother praise that guy and I laugh on the inside, because I wonder how it is that a pretty bright guy (my brother) could follow a guy like Mitt. Great stuff. Have a safe and fun trip.

have you seen the fb page Dogs Against Mitt Romney? cracked me up. safe travels, judie. hope you got that nap.

We also come from a family of Republicans and are amazed that we are actually genetically related to people who plan to vote for Mitt. They are being lead by their conservative religious beliefs which have very little to do with intelligence quotient.

I've been MIA from blogging too long...didn't even realize you were moving, Judie. Hope all goes well!

Hah! You know I'm going to love this one!!! Now you can really be a "back east liberal from hell", a phrase one of my more conservative friends uses to describe me (even though I haven't lived in the east for years)..

Hope the move goes well, can't wait to see what kind of trouble you can brew up in your new home!

Politicians, of all flavors, make me want to move to Patagonia...not that they don't have their fair share too. Honestly, I wish we had other choices right now...not loving either of them and their bad behavior.

Have a safe move...can't wait to have you back online in a couple weeks! :)

Ha! Two excellent words for that fool! I enjoyed every moment of your rant! Unfortunately, I'm in a state that bows down before him, and fortunately, a certain governor of ours didn't continue on with his own campaign.

Safe trip! Although I was married to a legislator, that word was a new one to me. What got him involved in government was when I asked him, "well, what are you going to do about it?" ...So, I'm wondering when you are going to run for office...

I hope your move goes well, Judie!

I do love reading your political rants even though I'm here in Canada. There ought to be tons to write about this fall. :))

Politicians get away with way too much! The Brits dubbed him "Mitt the Twit"! Good gravy the man needs to zip his lip! The last thing we need is a holy war! Starring USA! Yikes!
Your wit is amazing! Loved this. God Bless and have a safe journey to your new home! We are headed to Kansas. I should be packing. The hubby is looking at me with that look! LOL! My baby is leaving his momma and going to college! Sniff Sniff Sniff! Hugs Anne

I don't like this guy he looks too clean to be honest, and then he promises heaven on earth, but somebody has to pay for all this, and he certainly wouldn't do it out of his personal wallet once he won although he has more then enough money to support people in need !

Nancy said...

I'm smiling at the comments that say "have a nice trip," as I believe thats a polite way of saying they don't exactly agree with your politics. Lol.

Judie said...

Hahahaha! Nancy, you are sooooo right! But, I don't mind, because many of them are such nice people.

He will be working for the 1% and 1% only if he gets the job, just like the rest of the cons. Have a great move and see you here soon.

Well that energy will be a great asset for your move!
We watched in horror up here as the man who wants to lead the free world crashed his way across half of it, seemingly oblivious to the mess he was making.

Good luck with your move, and a safe safe trip, Judie.

Learning to new K words from you today..The more I know, the less I want to vote. Why can't we have someone decent, intelligent, and dignify to consider for voting?

Jenny said...

I am laughing over hiding things in the fridge.

I can totally picture you doing that, Miss Judie!

I always enjoy learning new things from you! This is a cool word!

Thanks for linking!

A+++

That was a great rant Judie and although I am pretty conservative, I enjoy hearing clever and well thought out rants from the other side. Better thought process and analysis than I've ever heard from any of the talking liberal heads on cable news channels !

I find it a disgrace that so much money is being spent by both sides, especially on the far right and far left and it has all gotten so dirty. I wish we could legislate fast and short election cycles like Great Britain instead of running for office when you should be governing instead !!!

Have a safe and happy move ! So excited you will be close enough to meet in person :)
Hugs,
Nonna
