Q is for QUICK!!! Jump On It!!!

The Rogue Speaks:

Every week, my sweet friend, Jenny Matlock, sponsors a meme called "Alphabe-Thursday."  We write our Thursday posts from A to Z.  This week, we are on the letter "Q" and this is my offering:

"QUICK!!! JUMP ON IT!!!"

U.S. Consulate - Benghazi, Libya

As you all know, U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other diplomats were killed in an attack on the U.S. Consulate in  Benghazi, Libya in another example of radicals run amok in their so-called religious beliefs.  They were spurred on by other religious radicals, which is par for the course these days.  I fail to see anything holy about these holy wars.

U.S. Ambassador, Chris Stevens - Rest In Peace, Friend!

The Romney handlers, who obviously have NO sense of decorum or sympathy, jumped on this senseless act, and the hasty comments made without approval of the Obama administration, and tried to use it for Romney's political gain.  What on earth were these idiots thinking????  Is nothing sacred?  Are they so desperate to smear President Obama that they don't even take the time to think?  "Quick!  Let's jump on this!! It's a great opportunity!"

Chris Stevens was a dedicated public servant who worked tirelessly for his country, OUR country.  For God's sake, can't the Republicans, just for ONCE, put aside their pettiness and greed to honor him??  In his haste to bash Obama, Romney did not first, in his initial comments, offer sympathy to the families of those who were killed.  Is this the kind of man you want in office???  I certainly don't!!!  SHAME ON YOU, MITT!!

Sara Palin chimed in on this issue as well.  She said that Obama doesn't have a big stick, and "he needs to grow one."  What kind of talk is that from someone who claims to be a devout Christian???  Come on, you conservatives!  Don't make my case for me!  Put that rubber bracelet on!  You know the one! It says "WWJD!!"  What Would Jesus Do!!!  Stop all this phony baloney crap and LIVE YOUR ACKNOWLEDGED FAITH, or just admit that it is all a sham!!!

"Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, for inwardly they are ravening wolves."

That's it for this Alphabe-Thursday.  Miss Jenny has a big class, and they are all waiting for you to read their homework papers!!  I hope you will comment on mine.  As my friend Tony says, "comments are like crack to bloggers."

Just when I think they can sink no lower...

It often seems that the most noisy religious people are the worst - of whatever faith!

We need someone besides 'politicians' to straighten the world out ~ maybe 'women' ~ Great post ~ sad but good to be aware ~ (A Creative Harbor)

WWJD - that always makes me want to laugh, do people really use it?

I don't like politics and couldn't really understand why people keep bashing each other and not just go do some good instead.

hope you have a great day.

How sad that these diplomats were murdered in Libya. Senseless indeed.

Surprised Romney's handlers didn't advice him to go easy on this. But really, you'd think he would have at least waited a few days. Politics as usual.

It's like those wars in history....those "holy wars." There never has been, and there never will be a "holy" war. And yes...If women ruled the world...ah..it would be a much better place....

P.S. Judie, I love your new photo at the top!

It's a shame but as you know since the beginning of time religion has ruled mans thoughts and the people have used it as a reason to change the world.. it does nothing but cause hate and pain... How many religions do we have? too many to count and each group believes theirs is best and right... This past weeks event is horrible just as all killings done in the name of religion...I'm afraid the so called Gods may just have had enough of man.....
Good Post

What a distasteful character on Mitt's Romney part, and Sara Palin should take a vow of silence to eternity!

Beautiful header, Judie, of your new home place!

It's like what Clinton said in his speech at the DNC:
"Though I often disagree with Republicans, I never learned to hate them the way the far right that now controls their party seems to hate President Obama and the Democrats."

Both Romney and Sarah Palin need their mouths washed out with soap!

I decided to never touch the subject of politics while blogging, commenting etc and just show nice cute pictures which I like to share
at times it is hard to keep to my decision

I was so saddened by the news of Mr. Steven's death and then quite horrified at the political wrangling that followed it.

Really? Is nothing at all sacred?

very nicely said. I appreciate the insight and the directness without sarcasm. nicely done. and i do feel for the victims of this violence; not only Americans were killed, some Syrians as well. May God grant peace to all of their families.

What a tragic loss this has been. It sickens me to think of all that Chris Stevens and the others might have accomplished.

You're right, Judie. Some people are so anxious to lead humanity they forget to lead *with* humanity.... Hey, congratulations on your new home! Did you know I used to live right by there in Savannah and Richmond Hill? Hope you are enjoying the beautiful area!

Thank you for going to my artblog, Judie!
Heard the sad news in Lybia... so sorry that these lives were cut short, but whatever evil tries to do, it will eventually come to nothing!, because not many know that there are now thousands of young new Christians from Muslim countries on Facebook!

This week has been a really SAD one. NBC skipping a moment of silence to honor and respect lives lost on 9/11 for an interview with Chris Jenner, about her boobs no less, and now this. What is wrong with people!! I am not just asking anyone who will listen, but I am asking God. Have we all gone to hell in a hand basket? Thank you Judie for paying respect to Ambassador Stevens. ~Ames

Ames has really laid out my thoughts already! Judie your knack for writing is so kind but truthful. Paying respects to Ambassador Stevens touched my heart. His family needs our support not our political babble! I heard his college friend speak about him today. I had to turn away because it overwhelmed me and made me cry! I am afraid period regarding where we are going with our country No one has any respect for anyone. I have never trusted "religion", I do however know what Jesus would not do! He would not bash anyone in such a sad moment, when someones life was lost in the name of some ridiculous religion! He offer a kind and loving hand and he would not be involved in politics! It is getting to the point that reality T.V. is - G A R B A G E !!!!!!!!!!! I am sick of the whole mess of them!
As always Judie, you really hit home with your post!

My dear Judie,
As always, you leave me thinking with your heartfelt views of world leaders. Should we really put our trust in man? You made some very interesting points my friend.

First off, Judie, I like your new header picture. I've never been to Jekylly Island.

I agree with you, it is a terrible thing to do, politicing about this trajedy. Our world is getting sooo mean and the Conservative Republicans are the meanest I know.

I won't rant but wouldn't it be nice if we could go back to San Fransisco and be flower children again?

I am glad you posted Steven's picture. He was a real dipolmat and was a big help to the Libians in setting up their new government.

The maker of that film should be tried for treason just like the Rosenbergs were. And then hanged when he is found guilty. Soooo hateful.

Bravo (clap clap with my hands) ! At least I can tell my friends that there are also Americans with sense !! We have quiet a big American community in Waterloo because of the English St. John's school. All of them are horrified of what is going on in their country with these stupid begging for votes of the Republicans !
Religion and Politics are completely separated in the European countries and so should it be ! I don't even know what religion has our Prime Minister and that he is homosexual nobody cares neither ! How can one be so narrow minded !

Barbara Rosenzweig said...

I totally agree. So sad and frustrating!

No sure about your suggestion about the farmer boy in the cornfield watercolor. The top photo is the current one and the one below it is before the darks were put in on the boy's back. Should I make them even darker? I value your input.

Barbara Rosenzweig said...

Thanks, Judie. I'm usually the one that's confused! LOL
Someone mentioned that the shadowed are on the boy's back should be even darker. I value your opinion and don't want to do it if you don't think that it warrants it.
Have a great weekend and hope that this craziness in the Middle East subsides - not realistic, I know.

Jenny said...

What makes these people think they are all so entitled?

Geez.

I so agree with you on all this. It saddens and sickens me and I have no idea how to make a difference.

Quite a powerful post Miss Judie!

Hugs and A+
