Black Hole

The Rogue Speaks:

I just can't leave well enough alone. A totally black photo? Nonononono! No can do! It is against my nature! Without further ado, here is my 25 word offering for Jenny's Saturday Centus, Halloween Edition:

"But Mom! Everybody's doing it!"

"Flying your supersonic broom into a black hole is NOT an option! And don't roll your eyes at me, Missy!!"

Tomorrow I will be reporting on the reception at Toscana Gallery tonight. The gallery is holding a benefit for breast cancer, with a silent auction of work by 26 artists, me included. We are expecting over 200 patrons to be present at this event. Be sure to check it out, because I will be showing you a photo of my work. Don't check back too early, though. This has been a whirlwind week for me and I plan to sleep in in the morning!!

Oh! Here's some late-breaking news! Our son, Keil, carved this pumpkin:

Yikes, Judie! I feel as though I have been in the black hole this past week. I loved the pumpkin and wish you all the success tonight at the benefit for a most worthy cause.

Oooooh...I think if I had a super sonic broom I might be willing to try it out at the nearest black hole!

Great pumpkin, btw!

I love this story! You did great with the prompt. Hey, many of us see different things while looking at the same picture. I just love the thought of Missy rolling her eyes! My girls do it to me all the time! "Oh mom, everybody I know stays out until 3:00; get with it!"

I have had a fabulous but VERY BUSY week, and I just made THREE hot appetizers to take to the reception. Today, I went to a wedding lingerie shower for a friend only a few years younger than I. I was amazed at what people gave her in the way of intimate apparel. I just could not bring myself to buy her a butt thong, so I brought her a VERY NICE bottle of champagne, a pretty photo album to put all the shower photos in, and a cucumber with a bow on it. Before you totally freak out, she once told me that if one eats a lot of cucumber slices after drinking too much wine, one won't have a hangover the next day. When she pulled out that cucumber, there was quite a bit of laughter! She had to explain!

OMG! This comment could have been my next post!!! Oh, well. I am a ditz!

Great job...even witches have misbehaving children...geesh, you'd think they'd have a potion for that.

Yeah, I was going to mess with the photo too but opted to leave it intact. I like what you did with both the picture and the prompt. SciFi anyone?

Loved this Judie! And, of course, you have to be free to change black artwork around at will. I would never consider stifling your creativity.

That pumpkin still makes me laugh!
