JUMPERS

The Rogue Speaks:

I guess my first post sounds a little grim and scary, so here are a few more jumpers for you:

I think this is the first post I've ever done like this, especially for Alphabe-Thursday!!

You don't know the half of it. Blogger wouldn't let me post the photos unless I put them on a Picassa Web Album. Took me forever, but I did it. Then Blogger changed his mind. I was pissed!!

really? I thought it was an awesome read. Although I did wonder for a minute hmm what is she really thinking right now! But it was a refreshing post to me! These other jumpers, especially the first all important ones (just used around Christmas) are keepers for everyone! Your second jumpers just as jiving as your first jump! ;)

I did notice when you first posted it, that they (red) x'd it out at first but then your really cool photo of NYC ? appeared. Sometimes I think blogger has strange issues. I mean seriously, you're just using it for a simple little (superbly) written post that usually under a 100 people read right? Not like you're making big bucks...and you said you weren't getting into a political ...hm....this is really sad when you think about it... and now if there is a Blogger Eye in the sky that reads all our comments we should be careful what we rant about huh? Seriously?

Actually, Karen, that photo is of Chicago, on the shore of Lake Michigan. And surely Blogger doesn't give a rusty f*** what I post. Hmmm...Or do they?????

Judie: I was really far too busy tonight to blog. I have been innundated with work. However, you are my friend and I could not ignore the title. Needless to say, I am thrilled. Now, I will read the first one. Have a great evening.

Hi Judie. I'm catching up on my blog reading. I read both of your Jumper posts and the photos do lighten the heart a little. I hope people wont really yell up and tell someone to jump if they are sitting on the edge. Is this a true story? I also read your politics and heathen post. I am pretty glad to be away from the US in the sense that I am away from being inundated with every minute detail of what's going on in Washington or Hollywood. Character and integrity are high values for me as well. I just wish it wasn't so hard to tell what the truth is some times. It's like Facebook with people giving what they want or think you will like. About the "Heathen" post, I guess what made me sad was that "religion" or specifically Christianity has left a bitter taste for you in your heart and mouth. Not because you need to "be" something, but because I don't think Jesus was like you described. He wasn't so keen on religious hypocrisy either. Anyway, this has turned into a rather long comment. *sorry* Hope this finds you well and that the Jumper finds a better resolution than what it seems right now.

I think I only mentioned Jesus once, and I indicated that he would not expect to have a fancy car to drive around to deliver his message. And I think he would have loved everyone, no matter what.

Judie, sadly, in NY, on a New Year's Eve 30 years ago, I saw a man threatening to leap to his death from the Chelsea Hotel in Greenwich Village. The crowd below seemed to show no sympathy at all but were hooting and cheering and egging him on. Perhaps they didn't want anything to stand in the way of their end of the year celebration. It's a tragic memory that remains forever imprinted on my soul. The poor man did eventually jump.

Definitely an interesting followup to your other Jumper post. Seeing that girl in her uniform reminds me of the one I use to wear in elementary school (it was a catholic school too) :)

I took your button to my blog! :)
Ever heard the expression "We can agree to disagree?" I have pretty strong views on politics and my faith but I never try to strong arm anyone. I think that is why I like you so much! Everyone expresses their opinion and although we might think differently we still can be friends and be silly and kind too! I really love knowing you! Thanks to that silly Jenny Matlock and her Alphabe Thurday! Just ask Ames about my politically rants! Ha Ha! I think your post is wonderful and it is why I keep coming back. It makes me want to know more about you and your unique style of writing and presentation of your blog! Amen!
