The Collection
"I want to buy your words."
"What??"
I want to buy your words."
"Yeah, o.k., I get it. You want to buy a vowel? Hahahahaha! Really, it's only words, and words are all I have....."
"Your words are not like other’s words. They speak to me."
"That's so sweet!! What exactly are you offering?"
"97."
" 97 dollars???"
"Well, 97 of THESE."
"Sand dollars! You want to pay me in sand dollars? Your collection?"
"Uh huh."
“I can’t take your collection, but I’ll give you my
words. I’ll write them down. You can
keep them in your box with the sand dollars.
“Really?”
“Yep.”
“Why??”
“Because I love you.”
This Saturday Centus was brought to you by all the sand dollars on Jekyll Island beach, and by Mulligan and Lizzie, who sniffed each and every one they found today. The prompt for today is in bold type.

I like how it starts and then it makes it think it will go some other way but doesn't.
great take on SC. hope you have a great day.
p.s., can't help but notice the boy on your sidebar picking his nose, very cute!
Oh Judie this is good! See I knew you'd come up with something so cool, especially with that most awesome new grounds/land/ocean/hills that you get to explore! I just love it, and your header photo rocks! Secretly I've been waiting to see what you would come up with. I know your other one was so grand but you are in new glorious surroundings!
Lovely! I LOVE sand dollars, too!
A sweet story! It also sounds like you are here in Georgia! Welcome to your new place :o) Hope you are settling in quickly. We are still here in Georgia too...with January projected to be when we move...but our home sold soooo quickly! So, we are thankfully in a beautiful condo/apartment...month to month. (Now that all our things are packed up and in a storage unit ready to go, and the house cleaned and the closing done...it is like my hubby and I are on a vacation...or else, since our kids are all grown and away, it is like we are newlyweds in our first place! lol) So...once again, finally catching up with my blog visits!
Thank you dear friend for stopping over and your kind comment on the little bubble dress :o) Do you have all the clothes you made for yours? I can't help it, but I truly love the idea of "reversible" lol...anything I guess that has "multiple" uses! I have kept some of our kids' clothes that I had sewn for them when they were little. If I had thought about it, I wish that I had saved all of the scraps of material from each thing to have put together for a quilt. (I did come across some which I did put in the cathedral windows quilt for our grand baby).
Blessings & Aloha!
Nicely done, Judie. I love the sweetness and innocence of this piece. :)
Sweet story. I can feel the hug in the ending.
Perfect!
=D
I love it!
clever and fun!
I love this, too! I thought it might go in another direction, but it went in a perfect direction! I hope you are loving your new home!
Aw that is so cute I bet Lizzie and Mulligan has a blast on the beach! Love your new header, although I still think of you as Judie from Tucson. Love ya!~Ames
Dear Judie,
What a fun take on the prompt! Excellent! It reminds me a little of that verse in Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass about the oysters!
Thank you so much for stopping and commenting on my post! I've missed Jenny, SC and the usual participants.
Rek (of 'A Chronicle Of Dreams'), who also writes for Romantic Friday Writers reminded me about all the fun we had doing Saturday Centus-posts for Jenny and I decided to participate again.
I've been busy with the children and my other family members. I have too little time at the computer. I only have had time to post for RFW every other week.
Take care!
Best wishes & hugs,
Anna
