But He Loves Me!!!

The Rogue Speaks:

Saturday Centus is here again, and tomorrow is Easter Sunday. Of course our fearless leader has given us a photo prompt as a guide today. We knew she would, and we knew it would have an Easter theme for sure. All those eggs she colored last night have gone to her head, and made her giddy. A BLUE Easter bunny? A bright, electric blue one??? Poor Harvey is rolling over in his grave!! Well, that's our Jenny! Since I have an all-day Guild retreat today, I'd better get on this right away! Here goes:

"But, Mom! He loves me! And I love him!"

"Shelly, please! Look at him! Your father always wanted you to have the best but now..."

"Mom, be nice! Talk to him! Just don’t mention..."

“Shelly, we taught you that people are created equal-- you can't judge a book by its cover. We never thought it would come to this, though.”

"Mom, he’s sweet, kind, and cuddly! He’s generous! He makes me happy!"

" O.k., Shelly. Too late now, I guess. Oh, those beautiful pastels! He's going to clash with the bridesmaids! Why couldn't he have rented WHITE???"

This is so funny Judie!!!
Is this the groom's idea of wedding clothes??
So clever! I love it.
I like your reference to the puka, Harvey. I have Harvey in my post too, even if he has stayed in the background and kept quiet.
Have you seen Nick Park's children's film The Curse of the Were-Rabbit??? There is a nod to Harvey in that clay-animated full-length feature.

Best wishes,
Anna

Jenny has a warped sense of humor
but it fits right in with the rest of us, heh?
Have a Happy Easter!

Victoria, the majority of us have that humor which endears us to each other every single day. Isn't it just grand???

I needed this laugh today, my sister! The guy in the photo reminds me of the plumbers who wear short tee-shirts and we have to turn away from the butt-head!

Judie, this is hilarious through and through. Proof that there is no end to a mother's love (nor that of a desperate bride to be).
Happy Easter, friend.

Looks like me on my wedding day, only I was wearing a red flannel shirt. Happy Easter, Judie, or any other holiday of your choice.

Ahh... what a tasty treat to wash down the dyed sugar for the day. I hope you had a wonderful holiday Judie, and thanks for leaving that crazy funny comment about the Peeps. I've been stifling giggles all day, and now this clever ditty is keeping the smiling going into the wee hours. I needed that after the last couple weeks!
